I got these straighteners with some christmas money at Boots and they are in excellent condition. They came with a 2 year guarantee, so I definatley know they are made to last. Disadvantages: Only one heat setting. No way to tell when 200degrees has been obtained.

They are reasonably priced good straightners. They come in a good sized box with clear instructions and tips on how to manage your hair. They heat up quickly to a hight temperature +but sometimes the plastic on the side near the ceramic plates can get quite hot too. ...I have long curly hair. The first time i attempted to straighten my hair at home it turned out an afro! dry and unruled. So i decided to get a hair straightener, I recently got remington cs5001 at boots for 14.99, its very easy to use, quick and efficient. Lets admit it, its not a perfect salon job, its not pokerstraight (Unless you use the right products along with it) but its straight enough to look nice, natural, stylish, and it will certainly change your looks if your curly, and it doesnt look dry and horrible. I would recomend usage of a protection spray, and an anti frizz serum with it, as i would with any other hair straightener. Its also very light, and its cable rotates for easy, free movements.... Or online on this website with a 20% discount for 20 GBP (www.remingtonselect.co.uk). There official website is www.uk.remington-europe.com **********Disadvantages********** Ideally I would like the straighteners to come with a longer cable, as this would make it easier to reach in front of my mirror whilst I am standing up. My best friend has the same pair and her plates are ruined from hair products, however I clean mine regularly with a damp cloth and I have not had this problem.
